The Perplexing Archipelago
I found a stack of around 100 maps of various islands, each one with a brief description of what an explorer found on them.
For some unknown reason it’s incredibly easy to get lost in this archipelago, to the point that charting it has been an incredibly hard task. Perception gets skewed in there, with the land dominated by optical illusions and seemingly impossible geometries. Even the most expert explorers lose their orientation in the archipelago, with some swearing the land shifted as they went further.
I noticed three landmarks on the island:
1. Nobody ever managed to climb the highest mountain, but some reported sighting of a structure on the top.
2. An island appears at night in the center of one of the circles, but each night in a different one.
3. The only place where a ship can safely dock is in the south coast, but unfortunately it’s full of dangerous insects
These are surely strange looking islands.
